- Pffft! I still like Pedal to the Metal. I can't sit through the whole album without wanting to hear something else, though. As a whole, that album is just way too sugary sweet, you know. But in moderation, it can be pretty cool. Some songs, like "She Wolf," rule!
It's already been established that you are a quantity, not quality music fan. Nothing wrong with that though. Oh, has it? Because, see, as I mentioned above, I actually like that album. Which of course attests to quality. But that's a subjective thing, as we all know, Mr. Debbie Gibson Fan.

Roll your cybereyes all you want but I like just Debbie Gibson and no one else that sounds like her. You on the other hand seem to like EVERYTHING you put your hands on which then makes one raise an eyebrow as to the validity of your musical tastes. But you are right, it's all subjective, but if you can find merit in something like that Broken Heart Bullet crap, then I tend to take your recommendations with a cup and a half of salt. No matter how you try to justify it, not everything is "excellent" or "killer", unless you have set your bar REALLY low.

No matter how you try to justify it, not everything is "excellent" or "killer", unless you have set your bar REALLY low. It's funny. Kurt says he owns that because that's just "the collector" in him. I say I actually own it because I like it, and you call me the one who is a quantity over quality fan. Do you see how absurd that is? And like I've said before, I don't like everything. I'm simply not the kind of person that needs to bag on things—like you're doing here—to feel good about myself. If I don't like something, I simply don't talk about it; I don't waste my breath. I have better things to do. So I only post about things that I like. If I say something is "excellent" or "killer," it's because I THINK IT IS! Not that YOU should think the same thing.

Way to go dismissing my opinion. Believe me, I couldn't feel any better about myself if I had two German Shepherds, a tub of peanut butter and 48 hours to kill. You like some crap. Even you gotta admit that. Embrace it.

You like some crap. Even you gotta admit that. Embrace it. I wasn't dismissing your opinion, just pointing out how silly it is. I'll never understand a person who gets upset over someone else's tastes. It doesn't make sense. I think Debbie Gibson sucks, but I won't tell you that you listen to crap. That does nothing for me, and it's meaningless anyway. Everything that I listen to, I like on some level. If I don't like it, I get rid of it.

| I love that Wildhearts album.
If that one doesn't get you into the band, nothing will IMO.
Also great pickup on that Flies On Fire disc. If you like early Black Crowes or Exile-era Stones, you'll love that one. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| My favorite Shock Totem story is "Sweepers" from volume 2. That story is really short but still really creepy and evokes a lot of strong images. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I've had that album for more than a decade and I still spin it regularly.

That's still my favorite Wildheart's album. Stormy, People Time Forgot, Bang and Lake of P make that one worth the price of admission IMO. If you like that album, I highly recommend the new Michael Monroe album "Sensory Overdrive". It basically sounds like the Hanoi Rocks singer fronting a new Wildhearts album.

That's my favorite from that issue as well. I probably mentioned that before. That was her first published story, too. Her second was in the John Skipp-edited issue #4 of Bizarro Magazine. That's quite an endorsement, you know; Skipp being a horror legend and all. But that's how much he liked "Sweepers," he invited her to send him something for that issue. It was invite only! Not a bad way to start your writing career! Haha.
