I was involved in a car accident yesterday evening...

I was at a friend's place watching bands that friends of mine play in (I was mainly there for Unbidden, a fantastic local death metal band). A little over an hour after the show began, I decided to pick up a couple of things at the Co-Op just down the street corner.

Unfortunately, my car was hit by a Jeep. My car has been damaged too badly to be repaired. After calling 911, the local police, firemen, and paramedics arrived not long afterwards. I was taken into the ambulance and to the hospital.

My head was pounding (which has stopped) and I did get a slight head bump. The doctors at the hospital checked me out and said that I'll be just fine. I wasn't able to see Unbidden perform, unfortunately. Their set was over around the same time I was released from the hospital.

At least things weren't as bad as they could have been. Things could have been a lot worse than they were.

I assume the other guy's insurance will cover your car?

Actually, not a lot of damage was done to their Jeep. Nearly all the damage was towards my vehicle.

I got to speak to them a bit, they seemed like good people to me. They were unhurt and there were no hard feelings whatsoever.

I will receive some form of compensation as I did have my vehicle under insurance.

Wow! At least you're somewhat okay. No concussion, apparently

I guess the rules in Canada are different from the States. Here, if the accident is the other guy's fault, his insurance pays for your damages.

Glad you're OK, sorry about the car. Bummer

As much as it sucks your car got totaled, a car can be replaced and I am glad you are o.k. but if the pain in your head comes back, go back and see a doctor, they donot always catch everything in the emergency room.

that is too bad ..you never know what can happen at anytime good that you did not get hurt very bad

Glad you're OK. My mom was also in a bad accident recently but walked away with only minor aches and pains.

Glad you're okay,man. Sucks about the car though although ,like it's been said,that can be replaced.
