The newest Speed\Kill/Hate album

Anyone hear the new one "Out For Blood"? It's like Pro-Pain but faster.

Ya gotta admire a band that's called Speed\Kill/Hate doing an album titled "Out For Blood". It wouldn't be the same if you named it Dandelions & Petunias...

They should do a tour with Exodus. The new singer kinda reminds me of Rob Dukes. (well he looks like him)

Dave Linsk is a modern thrash genius.

Just bought a copy from the band for $11.

Amazon wanted almost $20.

Cool! Still need to get their first album though. All in due time

Music is great! The album blends thrash metal with a bit of a hardcore punk vibe, some death metal influences and a modern production. The vocals are the biggest disappointment. Some of the riffs are like machine gun fire.

New vocalist Bob Barnak is indistinguishable from any number of metalcore/hardcore screamers, at times he reminds me of Phil Anselmo, or perhaps Randy Blythe (Lamb of God).

Is this the band that Bobby Gustafson (ex-Overkill) was involved with, or am I confusing them with someone else?

No, this is the band that is side-project of Overkill guitarist Dave Linsk.

Dave Linsk and Tim Mallare, (both of Overkill) were involved. Don't know about Bobby. Dave still runs the show, it's his band. I think Tim played on the 1st album and that was it, although I could be mistaken.

I had the debut album for awhile but I eventually dumped it. The vocals were too harsh for my tastes.

I agree... he's generic but i like the music a lot so i try to overlook it. He is very similar to the Lamb of God guy.

Depends what you like. The new album is full-throttle thrash metal with a bit of a punk/hardcore edge. Lots of cool solos and riffs. Vocals are more of the Lamb of God style of yelling.

The singer looks like a cross between Meatloaf and Rob Dukes. And sounds like the guy in LoG.
