| Anyone interested in this Heroin Diaries album by Nikki Sixx? I really don't care about the movie, but the CD actually interests me. The two songs released so far are really good, I think. They're more of a modern rock variety, but I think they're pretty cool.
You can hear the two songs HERE and watch the first video HERE.
Thoughts? |

| I'm looking forward to the book. I always enjoy a good read about smacked-out rock stars. The music isn't bad, but I don't think I'd rush out to get it. | |

| Does the cd come with the purchase of the book or are they sold seperately? I thought I read that the cd came with it, but now I'm reading seperate release dates for each. | |

| CD came out today. I listened to about four songs on the way to work and was impressed. They were really good tunes. Modern rock, but very well done. Sixx narrates a bit here and there, and his voice sounds monotonous. Only the first track had a lot of dialogue at the beginning and end, though. The music in the middle sounded like something Devin Townsend would do, so that was cool. Not sure how much talking he does throughout, though. |

| This album is really good. It's very atmospheric, and surprisingly it seems to play as a soundtrack, shifting from emotion to emotion, almost like a movie. I know that probably sounds dumb since it's music, but it really feels like there should be an accompanying movie with it.
The dialogue isn't bad at all, it fits the songs. Even the first song which has maybe the most dialogue, after taking everything in as a whole, it all fits. A very cool album. Definitely the best post-Crue thing Sixx has done, and it blows away anything Motley Crue has done since the self-titled—which is totally underrated, I think. |

Though it's a Simple Plan song, I actually really dig that "If I Died Tomorrow" song. |
