Actually, the only White Wizzard member that participated in all albums is thr bassist. It reminds me somehow of Axl Rose - a person noone likes to work with..
I'm glad you enjoyed Skull Fist, krokus! Although I think they are a bit overrated, they deliver a good show!

Yes, a very good show with a lot of energy. All this new bands play with the same energy like IRON MAIDEN or METALLICA did back when they were young (demo days+first albums) and its great to see that happen in 2012 on stage. Their album HEAD OF THE PACK gets better after each play. I bought it on vinyl at the show.

The only problem with Skull Fist is the singer. He sounds like a child to me

I can see his singing might turn off some, but being a fan of vocalists like Steve Benito (Heir Apparent - insane), I enjoy SF a lot. Didn't like their debut, but HotP slays.

Well that makes a bit of some sense, since he formed the band. Just like how Steve Harris (the bassist) formed Iron Maiden, Bruce leaving the band didn't hinder their future, so they immediately found a replacement. But yeah, WW really needs to find a vocalist who can perform well on boths sides.

Yeah, but Iron Maiden has had a stable LineUp for several years. WW is changing constantly. And that can't be good...

Yeah, so if they really want to evolve into a successful band, they really need to think about what they're doing, cause they're not in a very good start right now.

That's not exactly correct. They have had 2 singers on major releases. James Paul Luna sang on the High Speed GTO EP and Wyatt Anderson sang on Over The Top and Flying Tigers. Peter Ellis only sang on the Shooting Star single. Mikey Gremio sometimes tours with them but so does Wyatt Anderson.

Okay, my fault, I thought Wyatt Anderson had left before Flying Tigers... Though I have to admit that I only listened twice to FT - I didn't like it.

Excuse my laziness, but are there many bands that use the sounding of other bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple than all those other ones that use stuff from Sabbath, Priest, and Maiden?

NARVAL is sort of like classic RAINBOW meets early DIO - very epic and dramatic music with rich 70s Prog-rock influences.

Split Heaven from Mexico plays in a traditional metal style and are a fun band; despite the somewhat silly cover art. The vocalist sometimes has a late 70's Geddy Lee vibe in his voice, so be prepared. This one, Street Law is their third and came out last summer.

a collision of American and European power metal, rooted in traditional heavy metal with a side of prog
yeah, it doesn't sound absolutely exactly like a carbon copy of your favorite hi-top wearing classics, but since there isn't an ounce of core or what have you I think it pretty easily counts...............
full album to be released probably in early 2013

Some parts reminds me of bands like SACRED BLADE or THUNDER RIDER mixed with a own style, not easy to be honest today with so many years of heavy/epic/progresive metal going on.

This album smokes! It's a really cool combination of mid-period Priest (Screaming/Defenders) with a dash of some early Metallica riffs and a pinch of King Diamond's vocals. The vocalist sounds remarkably like Halford in spots but Halford's lower register is what he uses the most and when he hits the highs, he sounds like King Diamond. I love this album.
It's on Spotify is anyone wants to check it out.

To those who wanted a comprehensive list of NWOTHM bands, I've been working on one for months now. This is a perpetual project, as I will be adding and removing bands indefinitely. Here is the link:

Yes, cool list, with many good bands. Some started long before the NWOTHM movement like WOLF or METAL INQUISITOR but they are traditional heavy metal bands, thats right. If we want this bands to go on we have to buy their music, do you do so bro???. I checked out your RYM site and i dont see you have any of those records. Of course if we dont buy the metal we love, who will????
