1985 THRASH METAL! Jump in the Pit!

I voted for Megadeth, but that album, Hell Awaits, and Seven Churches are my favorite albums on that list. This was a tough one though, I like every album on that list.

Exodus- Bonded by Blood
Hallows Eve - Tales Of Terror
Hirax - Raging Violence
Overkill - Feel The Fire
Razor - Evil Invaders / Executioner's Song
Sacrifice - Torment in Fire
S.O.D. - Speak English Or Die
Zoetrope - Amnesty

I probably like almost every album listed.

The past few years, definitely also Agent Steel LP's, and Dark Angel's debut I really like now, but didn't own the albums back then.

Although, I could have went with Slayer, or Exodus, or Sodom, or Possessed, or.......

Bonded By Blood. While I have liked a lot of the Exodus catalog since BBB they (to me) have never topped this album.

This is definitely hard to choose.

I love Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, Overkill, Kreator.......

but my votes goes for Anthrax- Spreading the Disease.

I seem to be one of the only ones who doesn't feel this way. While BBB is indeed a fine thrash album, I much prefer Fabulous Disaster. Of course that may be attributed to the fact that I prefer Steve Souza's vocals over Paul Baloff's.

Nay! Anthrax didn't hit their peak til their next 3 records. I love Spreading The Disease, but Among The Living, State of Euphoria, and Persistence of Time truly defined them.

You're Right DC.Those 3 are my favorite Anthrax albums.

I used to like Persistence of Time the best because it was my first Anthrax album, but i've grown to appreciate Spreading the Disease a lot more. Of coarse Among the Living is also a great album too... but State of Euphoria is a tad mediocre imo.

As much as I want to go with "Killing Is My Business", I'm going to go with "Spreading the Disease". I think the album is leaps and bounds better than "Fistful of Metal", based on the singing of Joey Belladonna. Had I been listening to the Re-mastered/Re-mixed sound of "Killing is My Business" all these years, then maybe I would go with it. The production was just better on "Spreading the Disease".

Not a big fan of Anthrax

Glad to see Anthrax has the commanding lead. To be honest, I thought that Exodus, Megadeth or Slayer would win this round.

Personally, I think State Of Euphoria was Anthrax's best record. I've never understood the mediocre comments. It may not be as wild as the previous few, but I think the tighter focus makes it a better record.
