Taco Bell Sued Over "Beef"

I honestly love Taco Bell, though I haven't eaten there in a couple of years now.

When I still lived @ my parents' house, my bro and I had a regular Sunday afternoon ritual -- hit a couple of used CD stores, then stop at a Taco Bell near the last store for a snack so we could look over our day's purchases. Ahhhh, memories.

Can they really make something with only 35% beef and it wouldn't be noticed by consumers. I never eat there so I don't know.

Unless you are killing your own animals and processing the meat yourself, you are not eating close to fresh meat no matter where you buy it. Heck, the soybeans they use as filler for their "beef" is actually healthier than the real thing.

Can't say I'm bothered by this info as I don't eat there, but I wonder if this will open the door to other lawsuits against fastfood joints to be more "truthful" in their advertising.

Seems like the fast-food industry has a big bulls-eye on it's back lately and this is just another shot at them. I like seeing them being taken down a few pegs though.

But wow, 35% beef. Pretty scary as to what the other 65% is made-up of.

I don't think this will take them down a few pegs, it's free advertising. The sheeple forget the lawsuit but remember TB or McDs or whomever where in news. After the banning of the Happy Meal people flocked to McDs.

This is true... I have a freezer full of fresh butchered cow, elk. antelope, and deer. They got plenty of it here in Montana. Got it for FREE as a welcoming gift.

Heck, the USDA standard is 40% for something to be called meat.

Love me some Taco Bell! Don't care what's in it, I'll eat it.....with lots of the hottest hot sauce I can get.

I eat Taco Bell, but never the meat there. My crunch-wrap supreme is special ordered as no meat, no sour cream, extra beans, add jalapenos and guacemole.

Most of what I get at Taco Bell is either chicken or steak. I very rarely eat tacos there as I prefer Taco Buenos. The only thing with beef I probabably eat is the chilli cheese burritos.

As long as it tastes good and they aren't adding anything disgusting like cats, dogs or humans... I'm fine.

I love Taco Bell, but I only ever get the Bean Burritos. However, since Del Taco started appearing all over around here, I've been going there instead.

Taco Bell is cheaper and more convenient (sic) but I prefer Taco Bueno. They are closer to resteraunt style tex-mex. God, I hate talking about food right now, I'm so damn stuffed (and all I had was two boneless pork ribs and a bowl of mac & cheese.

You get the French Fries in the bean burritos, the green/red ones. They hook it up for free around here.
