| I listened to this cd last night for the first time in maybe 20 years and probably the first time I've ever heard it all the way through, no distractions, nobody talking over the music, as an adult. It has got to be the most emotional pick-your-brain-apart concept album Ive ever heard. It is depressingly sad, and certainly not a hang out with friends party album at all. I think I finally completely understand it for the first time, every time Ive heard it before, I was hangin' out drinkin' beers with friends or something way back as a teen-ager. Totally intense, maybe alot of the reason I anjoyed it so much was I dont listen to the radio so I hadnt heard the hit songs from this album in ages either, I know how the radio can outplay some of these songs to death. what do you guys think of this album? Lets try to keep this topic on "The Wall" and not "Dark Side/Moon" or other Floyd albums. Thanks. | |

| I love The Wall It was one of the first albums that I listened all the way through. Fantastic story, fantastic playing, all around...fantastic. The story is combination of Pink Floyd's first lead singer Syd Barret and bassist and chief songwriter Roger Waters. The child portion is about Roger and when he gets older and descends into madness is about Syd. Good thought provoking stuff. | |

| An awesome album. The story is real downer, but wow, just incredible songs woven together by amazing playing and a masterfull production. What other band has reached this level with a single album. Even the artwork is renowned and so well known and recognizable. I can remember spend hours trying to get that comfortably numb sound.... gotta go and listen to some Pink Floyd/ | |

| Excellent album. If you can only have one Floyd album, this should be the one IMHO (although I have two, haha - this one and DARK SIDE OF THE MOON) | |

| I love The Wall. I find it a bit difficult at times to digest both discs in one sitting but however I listen to it, I'm always fully engrossed by it. Some amazing songs on there. _________________ | |

Weren't you the one that said in your opening post to "just talk about The Wall and not any other PF album". Just giving you crap. Obscured By Clouds is a fantastic album very underrated and overlooked, along with their other soundtrack to the movie "More". Obscured has a lot of great PF songs; Childhood's End and Gold It's n The... are very heavy songs, along with the catchy Free Four, What's Uh The Deal and Stay. Overall a solid release, which I need to buy again. | |

| This thread is giving me flashbacks to my high school days when I used to get stoned and go to a local movie theatre for the midnight shows of "Rocky Horror" in one theater and "Pink Floyd The Wall" in the theater next door...good times. | |

| Here are a few videos from the 1980 Wall Tour that are not readily available. I wish I knew where he got these videos because there was supposedly no Wall Tour footage in existence. He re-did the sound using the "Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live" album that came out a few years back and it very much insync.
