No, I was born here in California, USA. I'm just an ordinary american that speaks english.

But where i live it is helpful to know spanish.

This mini-feud reminds me of a joke a Scottish friend told me:

An Englishman, an Irishman, and a Scot all go into a pub and order a pint of Guinness each. A fly lands in each man's drink. The Englishman immediately pushes the glass back toward the barkeep and demands another. The Irishman shrugs, fishes the fly out, tosses it over his shoulder and begins to drink. The Scot grabs the fly by the wings and starts to shake it, shouting, "Spit it oot, ye wee bastard!"
