That saxophone riff @ the beginning of "Baker Street" is, was, and always will be utterly bad-ass. Saxophones don't belong in metal (haha) but I always loved it in that song. I still whistle that riff to myself occasionally.
R.I.P. dude.

I think that's exactly what turned me off back then. Now that I love me some sax in music, I agree, that's a great riff.
So many memories of my parents listening to those songs, part of my childhood gone. Man, this getting older sucks.

'Stuck in the Middle With You' is forever linked in my mind to the torture scene in Resevoir Dogs. I can never listen to that song without thinking of the poor cop and his ear.
Never cared much for 'Baker Street' until I heard the Foo Fighters take on it. Made me appreciate the original a little more though. Classic 70's am radio tuneage.
So long Gerry!

Totally agree.
I wouldn't be surprised if Geoff Tate was a big fan of that song too...

I heard on the radio a while back that that sax riff was supposed to be done on guitar. But the guitar player didn't show up.
Definitely car radio songs from my early youth. damn.

You ain't kidding. I remember listening to him in the car all the time when I was a kid because my mom was a fan of his, and finding out about his death just put another nail into the coffin of my childhood.

I can relate... His music was a part of my childhood.
