While Amorphis fans who only like them up to Tales From The Thousand Lakes/Black Winter Day may want to scoff at them re-recording old songs with the new vocalist but they would probably like this if they heard it. The new guy's death growls are more gutteral than the orgional vocalist and the new production breathes life into their old death metal songs makeing them seem heavier (at least to my ears). It also gives a more brutal touch to the Elegy tracks as well.

For years I've been ignoring BG's older material. I mean I had Tales From The Twilight Wordl and Imaginations From The Other Side in the past but I couldn't get into them because I kept comparing them to Nightfall which was my first BG album and one of my all time favorites. After I sold those two off I later began to regret my decision and decided to keep an eye out for the older stuff. I hadn't been able to find them used but I found these albums new for only $11.99 (the price I could get them at Best Buy if they still carried anything this good). I loved listening to these two and regret taking this long to appreciate them. Especially since almost everything since Nightfall has not held my interest for two long. Now I need to get the rest of their older albums.
