Ron Rinehart is GREAT and my two favorite Dark Angel albums are "Leave Scars" and "Time Does Not Heal".

My favorite Death Angel album is Act III, which I know most people don't care for as much.

Like I said, I like them both but those two Dark Angel albums are regular spinners for me. Great for working out to.

My thoughts exactly. Ron kicked ass! as did Don Doty.

I have nothing against Death Angel per se... but i consider Dark Angel one of the best. They gave Slayer a run for the money back in 86-88.

and i agree that Act III is Death Angel's finest moment too.

Agreed on all counts.

I like the ultraviolence over act III personally but yeah...nothing against death angel. Dark angel just ripped harder in my opinion.

I chose Dark Angel because I really enjoy their 4 albums. I like both bands though.

Although I love Death Angel (especially "The Ultra-Violence") the edge goes to Dark Angel in my eyes. "Darkness Descends" is SUCH a monster of an album you simply cannot overlook it.

Death Angel. I could never really get into Dark Angel for some reason.

A lot of DEATH ANGEL's stuff is goofy. They have some really good stuff but DARK ANGEL just crushes them in the riff/power department. I can see if someone primarily cares about vox how they would prefer DEATH ANGEL but otherwise DARK ANGEL blow them away.

Dark Angel is my favorite, I like them both but Dark Angel is just the better band overall.

Dark Angel's vocals never bothered me. I guess I've just been a fan of Death Angel much longer and I'm way more familiar with their music. Ah well. No harm, no foul. Carry on.

Dark......Better riffs....

Voted for Dark Angel.I Like both bands but Dark Angel gets the nod due to their killer riffs.Time Does Not Heal is a masterpiece.Its like a thousand great riffs that keep comin at ya.

I even prefer the vocals in Dark Angel (more grit and aggression). but yes... the music crushes!

Time Does Not Heal is epic like "And Justice For All" but better.

I'm pretty sure TDNH is one of thrash's first concept records too.
