| Although I wouldn't consider myself a huge Nuge fan (the music is pretty cool, the man-from what I've read-not so much),I'm sure there is more to that clip than what is shown. | |

I'm not saying I agree with everything he says, but he's honest, passionate, doesn't back down from the status quo, and defends his opinions in an intelligent manner. Most people haven't got the balls to be honest with themselves, let alone other people. They were not fans. So he asked for a cut. Nothing wrong with that.

| I believe this country is better off with the balance we have. Without ass-hats like Nugent, we would be a gray race. With that said, he'll never see a cent of my money or an ounce of my love. And that is just how I roll with anything/body that do not agree with my principals [ie: Walmart, Clear Channel, Kings George I & II, etc]. |

I don't waste my time with the radio, but why do you dislike Clear Channel? Possibly because they have a near-monopoly on major market radio stations across the U.S., as well as almost all of the decent concert venues? Just a guess. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Just a guess. Ahhh, got it. Yes, I don't like Clear Channel much either. They dominate the radio stations here in NM, which is why I don't waste my time with them. I was just curious if it was something else. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Just a guess. Sounds about right. If you're a musician and you don't play nice with Clear Channel, you don't get radio airplay or decent concert venues to play. In my area (probably others too) they have a huge presence in most of the bill-board advertising that litter the highways and by-ways as well. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. I agree. thats the problem with the video clips - very little context and people jump to conclusions. I dont agree with nugent on everything but he expresses himself well and makes a case for what he thinks. Its better than just mindless chanting. _________________

Just a guess. Runs a little deeper than that. When 95% of ALL U.S. media is owned by three mega-corps, do you really think you are getting the full, true, and accurate story? Or is it all just the sheepdip GE wants you to think is the truth? Of course, none of that "truth" would ever be damaging to any of their interests.... And I am not talking conspiracy here - just logic. |

| He can be a real dick, but he's a fun guy However, I've been around long enough and been to enough cons to tell you those guys there are autograph sellers, I wouldn't of given them a deal either, they just want to make a fast buck. | |

| I don't generally mind the Nuge too much, but if I ever hear Stranglehold one more time, I will go to the radio station and demonstrate a stranglehold on the moron who put it on. I guess that's part of the reason I don't listen to the radio hardly at all anymore. As far as the autograph seekers go, I'm sure Uncle Ted had a good reason for turning them down, maybe they weren't gun owners, or they might have been wearing PETA t-shirts, or maybe they just looked like liberals to him. Who knows, cause Ted is CRAZY like that. | |

I can relate. Recently I watched some old stand-up comedy and I skipped Janeane Garofalo, Bill Maher, and Rosie O'Donnell because of what they've said in the past. It's also like how I won't see a George Clooney movie or how I would never buy anything from post-reunion Exodus, Henry Rollins, or Rage Against The Machine. I also don't listen to the Dixie Chicks, but that has nothing to do with their views.

- I think there is a video of Gene Simmons on YouTube getting irate about signing something.
Not on YT, BUT: Nikki (my LOF guitarist) is a MASSIVE Kiss geek. I think he's seen them something like 40+ times, follows them around from gig to gig, has TONS of merch (including an original KISS pinball machine), etc. Anyway, he was at the Dodger Stadium show on Halloween night when Psycho Circus came out (the one they televised on Fox) and was in the front row! He flew to California for this show! Anyway, when Paul smashed his guitar Nikki got a huge chunk of the body. He's had it ever since and has tried to get it signed several times. He's been backstage only to have them not come out. He's been outside House Of Blues on Paul's last solo tour hoping to get it signed and Paul just came out, said Hey to the crowd and hurried to the bus. A few other times he's been backstage, but they basically walk by and wave but don't come talk to the fans. This most recent tour just a few months ago, Nikki got backstage again. He did not pay for the mega-expensive VIP package, but he got a pass from a buddy at the venue and went backstage. Of course, he had his piece of Paul's guitar hoping to get it signed. He was behind a steel barrier, right up at the front, and the KISS guys came out in full make up to take photos with the people who did buy VIP packages. He waited and waited. At one point, the KISS guys walked over to the barrier where Nikki was standing. Paul was stading right dead beside him (on the other side of the barrier) and Gene was about 2 feet away. Nikki was thinking "This may be the day!" Paul did not even LOOK at Nikki (who was literally shoulder to shoulder with him) even when Nikki called his name. Then Gene looks behind himself over to where Nikki is. Gene makes eye contact with Nikki, looks down at the guitar Nikki is holding, then looks back right in Nikki's eyes and says "Oh, that's not happening." Then went back to mugging for the camera for a couple minutes. Then they all walked out of the meet and greet room. True story, if I'm lying I'm dying. LOL! Nikki was like "I always knew Gene was a d!ck but DAMN!! LOL!!" _________________ FINAL SIGN

| That's a fear of mine. Meeting a musician, wrestler, or actor who's work I really enjoy and finding out they're a total prick. There are many such people I would like to meet but wouldn't want to have that exprerience. I mean, could I still enjoy their work anymore if I knew they were like that? | |

That was my experience with my all-time fav guitarist, John Sykes. I have told the story before, but I still love his music. He did move down the list a few spots after that show, though. |

| I'm not sure why fans think they can demand the bands' time. It's not like they are the only fan.
If you are in a less popular group you might be able to take time for everybody. When you reach KISS's level, it's just not possible.
Sometimes it seems that fans think the band belongs to them. They forget about the other million+ fans that the band would also have an obligation to if that was true.
I've had some of my favorite musicians be a jerk to me too but I couldn't care less as long as they continue to put on good shows and release good albums. I don't blame them for getting annoyed with the fans sometimes. Let's face it: fanboys can be annoying to deal with sometimes.
