Wow, I'm surprised Owens is still with him for another album. With both of their track records, I thought this would be another "one-and-done" sorta deal. Good for them. Better looking album cover this time too.

I just hope it sounds better. Rippers vocals seemed like they were very low. The mixings on his albums are horrible.

I think Ripper fits well with Malmsteen's playing but yeah, the mix was a little off.

I own all of Yngwie's studio albums so I'll be sure to get this one too. I'm also on an Yngwie forum and nearly everyone there hates Perpetual Flame but I liked it.

Anyone who liked Perpetual Flame will probably like this one: I know for sure that Critical Mass and Enemy Within were originally going to be on that one.

Here's some hope for the production:

It's apparently mixed by Keith Rose who helped engineer albums like Fire & Ice, Eclipse, Magnum Opus, Inspiration, and Facing the Animal along with assistant mixing of Seventh Sign.

Got to hand it to Yngwie, never thought he would turn ripped off Blackmore riffs, mediocre songwriting and over-use of harmonic minor scales into a nearly 30 year career.

I liked the last one with Ripper so I will check this out but probably not anytime soon, my spending this year needs to be reigned in especially with albums from Firewind, Thunderstone, Kiske/Summerville, Allen-Lande, and Grave Digger I still need to get (two of which will be imports).
