Glenn Hughes , Jason Bonham this sounded good from the time I preordered it!
It arrived today and upon first listen I am impressed!
Anyone else pick this up?
Also ordered from amazon uk and got it only a day after the release date! Pretty good

I would be interested in hearing this. I wonder if everyone will be a nit-pickey about Kevin Shirley's production on this one

I must be the only Iron Maiden fan who liked his production work on those last few Maiden releases

I'm not a Glenn Hughes fan, however I heard some cuts from this and I liked what I heard. And I've heard some of Joe Bomma-momma-whatever-his-name-is solo work and like his style.
It's not a priority, but I'll probably get it at some point.

Nope - I like it too. The only album that I didn't like the production on was Dance Of Death, but I think that was more to do with the version that was released on CD. I laso have the DVD Audio of Dance Of Death and it sounds MUCH better and the production while not as good as the others still sounds fine to me. TFF sounds fantastic. I think the change of studio did the band well. DoD and AMOLAD where recorded at the same studio, while TFF and BNW where recorded at different studios.

I think his production fits Maiden well. I'll pick this BCC up, the samples sound great.

WOW!!
This album is great! Just got it in the mail today. Too soon to tell where exactly this will sit on my "best of 2010" list but it's a strong contender for Top 5!

I'm absolutely lovin' this album.
I got the version with the bonus DVD.. not watched it yet.
There's a live bootleg doing the rounds, recorded in London for UK radio. They pretty much play the entire album and they sound just killer. A highly recommended download.

It is kinda/sorta kewl/groovy hearing Joe B. playing harder rock in the guitar dept. IMHO this blows away Chickenfoot

Chickenfoot was kinda garbage. I mean, I'm happy those guys are so happy to be playing together but it wasn't really a good album. Looks like they're already falling apart anyway. Chad's too busy for the 2nd album.

I heard this again the other night. I think it's gonna get pushed up on the priority list. Sounds good. And I liked the Chickefoot album.

I'll probably pick this up. And I wasn't impressed by what I heard from Chickenfoot, although I really like all the members of that supergroup.

I went looking for this in the local FYE last night but no such luck. Anyone see this release in any retail stores or should I just order it on-line?

I ordered mine from Amazon. I usually order new music from either Amazon or Best Buy these days.

Yea, that's probably what I'll end up doing. Most of my music purchases are made on-line anymore these days. Still nice to walk into an actual music store now & then and do a little impulse shopping. Ah well.

Well, unfortunately, there are no mom & pop stores in my area. There is ONE used CD/DVD store but they don't carry anything new. Even when I was in Lansing, Michigan (the state capitol) all I could find was *used* CD stores. I had done some impulse buying at FYE over the summer but I don't worry about them anymore since they jacked their prices up again. I only go there to get Classic Rock magazine.

I don't think it was officially released in the US yet only in Europe.
I have really been enjoying this one though!
I liked the Kevin Shirley Maiden albums too!

No, it has U.S. distribution. It just hasn't been distributed very well. This band is a much bigger deal in the UK than it is here.

I believe you're right. Released 9.20 in Europe, 9.21 in the US. Just not very well promoted I guess.

The good news is that I did see 4 or 5 copies in the local FYE last night. Bad news is that they are asking $19 bucks for it.

Ouch. Get it from Amazon. One of the year's best heavy metal albums!

New album update...
Quote :
Black Country Communion have a title for their new album.
It’s to be titled 2, and released in mid-June. This was produced by Kevin Shirley.
2. How clever.
