First impressions:

Allen/Lande - very good, naturally, but you could put all the songs from their 3 albums in a bowl and randomly pick them out, not really changing the overall sound of the album.
But, that''s like complaining about being given three chocolate donuts.

Forbidden - Wowzers! Gonna contend for a 2010 top-10 spot, for sure.

I'm higly anticipating that new Allen/Lande! I should get paid in the next day or so and I will order it, then comes more waiting.

I think all their albums are kinda spotty but this one seems more consistent IMO. And I really love the first 2 tracks.

I agree. I see user reviews complaining that this album is too "poppy". I don't understand that; HIM were always more a goth/pop band than a goth/metal band. These songs definitely seem catchier than their last several releases.

Exactly thats how they are and have been pretty much the whole time. Some people are just stupid

Of course. They got into the band because Bam Magera said they were cool. I remember when I bought the HER album because the HIM albums weren't available here. No one knew the band. But then, kids had t-shirts, heartagram stickers, frickin' HIM skateboards! But still, no albums.

It's all about marketing. Bam isn't so popular now, thus not promoting the band, and "fans" have to think for themselves. And...well, you get stupidity as a result.
