New CD rack!

Wow, awesome cd racks!! Looks like a cd store! Every metalheads dream, gotta have the stickers and stuff too of course!

Got a start on the new rack this weekend this one is a little more intricate but it will be the best one to date. I'm thinking about doing this as a side business any takers? I'll make them mark how they go together all you need to do is follow the instructions.
These will be alot better than what you buy in stores as far as wood racks go for.

I'd say initial costs for a 4x4 would be about $75-$100 depends on size. It would come together as a kit all tou need is a screw gun, glue and hammer.

Looks awesome man. If I were you I would definetly make them to sell. With the way people are about cds nowadays there might not be a huge market for them but for people like us, those racks are perfect.

I would definitely get one!

Your CD racks look great man!

I just bought a black wall rack that holds 2400 CDs!! I can't wait for that bad boy to get here...

This is the rack glued, screwed, and nailed.

I just got done sanding it all. Dusted it off and letting all the dust settle. I will stain it after I eat. I give you a pic with it all sanded and then a couple stained and then a couple all finished. I should have it all done tomra.

Ok here is the finished product at first I didn't like the stain I used but it was all donne it is impressive.



Here is another view, this rack was made with maple sheeting with the front edge in maple strips. They were all cut to fiut then glued and nailed and then saned and put on 1 coat of stain with about 3 cans of gloss finish. although you can't really see the finish it is there.

These next 2 racks were actually my very first 2 I made back in 95 they still work today but the slides on them stick because of being to tight. All I need to do is sand the dowels a bit and they should work fine.



This is a 3rd of the size of the last one I use this from time to time but now that I have 2 new ones I made i'll put this and the other one away!

That looks almost identical to one of the racks I own. Mine has a few more shelves and it a little taller, but the same design. So, yea, I think you could sell them.

These look quality. They would sell.

Well my next project is metal band name carvings. When I have one done I'll post it!

Well I finally got it up and filled full of my remaining cds. But these are all cdrs I have when I traded back in the late 90's early 00's.

I have enough space on the other rack for about 300 more cds and then I'll have to build another one!

I have a friend who just built a cd rack that's 7' tall and 4' wide. He told me he would make me one if I wanted.

Here is the rack that I built in my drum/music room:




You can't really see it, but, there is room on top of it for box sets and on the bottom, if I just add another board, for records. The shelves are adjustable and it looks like I might have to move them down a few inches for another shelf.

Hahaha I always hate going to a studio where a lefty drummer was using the kit. Id have to rearrange everything haha.

Hey Thanks! I have very little woodworking skills(but when I wanna do something it gets done) and put this up pretty easily.

We'll see how long it lasts... it looks pretty solid. I used 2x6 fir for the sides and the rest is pine. I'll more than likely change the bottom supports to fir right before I put the records in.
