A great album for sure. But this band could not even make another one even close to as good as this.

I don't plan on getting into 'Ball of the Damned', etc. But was their first one at least almost as good?

yep.. if you can think of 'Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt. 1' crossed with old Rage, and with Kai Hansen thrown on vocals, you'd get this. Of course there's no reissue that I can seem to find...

Toho, since you like industrial music like me ... are you a fan of My Life With The Thrill Kill Cult? If so, do you notice any similarities with them and Treponem Pal? Maybe it was just me, but there were a few times I could've sworn I was listening to MLWTTKC while cranking this.

I don't see any similarity beyond the fact that they both play a form of industrial music. Thrill Kill Kult is much more dance-oriented in my opinion. Musically I find Thrill Kill Kult closer to Lords Of Acid except that LoA have a girl singer.
