I can't buy my CDs from the internet, because of the restrictions on importing/selling Metal music. So it's tough to buy metal around here. I usually await my trips to Europe. This is why my collection isn't expanding fast. I can't find the "where do you buy CDs" thread... Icon_mad

I mostly use Amazon, but there are a few locals that I go to: Dimple, The Beat and Esoteric. There use to be a metal geared shop called Dynasty. He closed a few years ago and went web only.

Amazon and Best Buy. Most of the time it's through Amazon, but when I don't feel like waiting a couple days I go to Best Buy. There are 2 in town and one of them has a decent CD selection. I signed up for Amazon Prime so I only pay $3.99 for next day shipping. I hate waiting!! lol!

I've had nothing but good experiences with them for going on 5 years now. No complaints from me! I get my CDs from them faster than anyone, and they usually have the best prices for what I'm looking for!

But I feel your pain. I feel the same way you feel about CDI with The End. I've had a lot of really bad experiences with The End. Plus their stock nowadays is 90% screamo anyway. The End SUCKS! I can't find the "where do you buy CDs" thread... Icon_biggrin

I don't mind waiting. A good album is worth the wait! I won't wait for too long though. That's why I won't order from Nuclear Hell. I won't wait more than two weeks for anything.

NuclearHell is a great source for my Scandanavian glam/sleaze fixes. They offer that stuff at a reasonable price AND have free shipping. I get most of my Backyard Babies, Hardcore Superstar, Gemini Five, etc from them. Since it comes from Russia it usually takes about 2 weeks but considering those albums go for about $20 plus another $3 shipping on most sites, I can be patient.

nuclear hell rocks! And I also go to secondspin/wherehouse a lot. I also agree with Wargod that the guy CDinzane is a nutjob. His posts around various boards are the makings of a lunatic.

99% if it stuff that is my never ending want list it is Amazon and once in a blue moon Ebay, but ebay does have sellers who carry as many rare and cool CD's as they once did and I do not always feel like bidding, but that is my hang up not ebay's.

I purchase all my cds from my friend TJ.. He is a collector and well I get them all in cdr format whatever ones I want for $2 each or I burn them to my comp. Unless it is by a band that I love then I will go by the cd from FYE.

Supported my local metal specialist store today, actually! It's called Sound of Noise. Went there to see if I could find Mortification Twenty Years In The Underground since it's released on a secular label. Looked in the new arrivals section. Found Seventh Angels latest first (own it already), then to my surprise saw Saint's Crime Secne Earth 2.0. Haven't bought any of their newer stuff, so I decided to buy it and added King's X latest which was on sale (half price). Had a nice talk with the owner and the topic was of course how his shop had survived up til now. The last month had been his best in a long while with both the Inferno Festival in Easter and two Matallica shows in town this weekend. The rest of the time it's tough business but he's got the collectors and his own idealism! Then, before I left, he pulled out from behind the counter Saint's Hell Blade! I ended up buying three CDs. Didn't ask if he got the one I was looking for, was afraid to spend even more money I can't find the "where do you buy CDs" thread... Icon_razz

Nowadays I usually buy directly from the band or elsewhere online, and a few times at concerts...

If I want it right now, I'll go to Best Buy or FYE. Funny that I almost never shopped at the formerly over-priced FYE, but since they've starting doing their $9.99 deal, I hardly go to Best Buy anymore. I've purchased cd's at both Walmart and Target in the past, but it's been awhile. There is only 2 used shops left in my area, and even they are getting more misses than hits lately. Noone is trading in their cds for me to scavage anymore.
