The Ipad

So, seeing as how the Ipad is coming out in like 2 days, any of you are considering getting it? What are your thoughts on it? I would probably get it, but.......it doesn't support flash! Which means you can't watch porn, lol. Among other things anyway. Man, there are always so many negatives with these things... but damn, the screen size and quality is just tempting.

Nah. Anything by Steve Jobs is trendy and its fanbase are all siminians that buy into that stuff b/c its trendy (and they are generally inept with other computer stuff anyways).

I bought an iPhone out of the utilities of its navigation/webaccess in addition to the phone components.

I'm going to try to stroke Steve Jobs ego as less as possible by sticking to not buying anything Mac. Hopefully he'll die from cancer.

i don't care for mac stuff. pc only for me.

After 15 years of suffering through owning PC after PC....I'm happy to say I left the dark side and bought a Mac. Couldn't be happier.

The "iPad" is not for me though...

I've only purchased my 1st cell phone in the last year. With that track record, I'll probably pick up an iPad around 2019.

Won't be getting an iPad anytime soon.

I'm a Mac user from way back, but even though I think the iPad is pretty cool, I won't be purchasing one any time soon.

For the technologically impaired, what is the iPad exactly? Looks like a fancier version of a laptop to me. Or a giant iPhone.

I just got an ipod. Technology is leaving me way behind.

Even though I can probably afford to more than they can (seeing how most Joneses are usually always up to their necks in debt!)

No ... I have no need for anything other than that which I really want.

And ironically ... what I really want is never usually even that expensive.

I don't need 10 computers, a cell phone that I can Facebook on, or even a dvr player!

I have everything I need with exactly what I want.

While I'm sure Macs smoke PC, I don't care. I've only used PCs my whole life and that's what I'm comfortable with. Ignorance is bliss!

As for the Ipod, thumbs down. I've always felt there were better mp3 players (love my creative zen), but Apple won the marketing aspect of it. I think the Iphone is great, but not what I need or want. My Sony walkman phone works for me!

By the way gang....

...you can run both the Mac OS and Windows on a Macintosh computer. They will live happily side by side on the same hard drive. So if you have old Windows programs that you still need to run, you can.

the iPad is basically a large iPod Touch with additional features. It's a cross between that and a Kindle reader. It's still designed to run "apps" though, so it's not a full OS.

I'm more of a pc guy myself for the same reasons. I've never used Mac, but have been happy with PCs, so it if aint broke - I aint gonna fix it.




I also agree Ipods are lame! I'm way more happy with my Samsung MP3 Player. Way better than a crappy Ipod any day of the week.

My thing is I don't like Itunes ... and with an Ipod you have to use Itunes.

Definitely a great idea, yet poorly executed. You can only run one program at a time, and not to mention there is no printer port! I'd wait for the next generation to be released.

There is a sense of elitism among Mac users that really turns me off to Apple products (minus the iPod). I'm not saying I wouldn't want to buy a Mac, but I don't like pompous attitude that seems to come with it.

In terms of the iPad: no, I will not be purchasing the oversized iPhone.
