Ah, the boredom has kicked in. Anyway, lyrics are not really important in metal, but what do you consider to be thought provoking and cool and just plain great? Post your favorites here... and for a laugh, post the very worst lyrics you've ever heard in metal too. I'll start with one of my favorites...

The worst "category" is easy: any and everything by Steel Panther.

Also honorable mention to Twilightning and their twisted English lyrics.

Since I'm not much of a lyrics person (meaning I normally don't pay attention unless they're really good or really bad), I'll have to think awhile for "good" metal lyrics.

For non-metal lyrics my vote for "good" would go to Jethro Tull. The lyrics on albums like Heavy Horses, Songs From The Wood and Aqualung are outstanding IMO. But that's not metal....

This is just an opening verse to a song written by a band I was in called Isaiah Fox back in the late 80's. It has alot of importance to me personally due to the reality of what it implies. The true definition of LOVE defined in action.
