I'm not really into Tool either, they're just not my thing, though I do agree with thme on they're Limp Bizkit comment(though that comment apllies even more to Creed CDs IMO) But Love/Hate, now THAT'S a band Scott would love! And BTW Indestructible was already reviewed by Scott in the last update.

Hallows Eve are on my site. I have all their CDs. Have a couple of them on vinyl and CD.
Grave Robber are also on my site. Have both CDs reviewed.
Disturbed's latest was reviewed in my last update.
Pretty sure I have the Ann Boleyn CD reviewed to.
Don't like A Perfect Circle much.
Would love some Great Kat. Use to have some. Traded them in a fit of stupidity.

I saw the review of Grave Robber -- I did a huge one on VampireFreaks.com of them. I saw the Disturbed review, that was spot on and I am trying to figure out how the hell I am going to review that album myself.
You need to add Saviour Machine -- that is one band that is a cross between Gothic Rock and Progressive Heavy Metal. Think Bowie singing over Black Sabbath, but more classically trained.
The dominate heavy metal sounds that are in my area are Thrash Metal, Doom, Death Doom, and Industrial Metal. The Industrial Metal borrows from thrash in terms of the solos.
Oh my God you have the Queen of Hell CD reviewed -- I bought that one after hearing their Ronnie James Dio produced track on Mp3. Empyrean Sky -- that's a band that is very hard to explain their sound. They have a mix of genre of heavy metal in every track then do -- the programmed drumming is evident but it sounds like a live double bass drummer. They had three guitarists on the first CD -- they're now a four piece with two guitarists, a bassist and a drummer (that uses a double drum machine. Very symphonic progressive heavy metal.)
I am trying to get that album that came out in 2003 by Bolyen -- Dead and Gone was very dark and based on a true story.
I've followed Empyrean Sky since 2001 and John is also in another band that's death metal. The record label is one he actually owns called Wormwood Productions. His full time job is a graphic designer/sound engineer. I am trying to get Sacred Warrior to Wormwood Productions but the challenge is getting Ray to Chicago since he's in Florida now. Empyrean Sky is schooled right from Dimensions era Believer.
Celldweller (Clay Scott's current outfit. Switchback sounds like something from Circle of Dust and One Good Reason sounds like a cross between Circle of Dust and Biohazard.)
DAATH -- you have to hear them to believe it. They're Technical Death Metal with Industrial Metal influences.
I kind of disagree with you on GOD HATES US ALL -- I actually love that album. I use it to torture the crap out of my cousin because he likes to blast crappy country in the car so I get back at him by blasting PAYPACK. Slayer has that good middle finger quality to them, something about them they love doing -- giving the world the middle finger.

Won't be adding Saviour Machine. Don't like them at all. I have owned most of their CDs at one time or another, only to trade them off. I'm just not a goth fan. I don't get how Saviour Machine get labeled as a heavy metal band. They are not.

I do -- it's the Black Sabbath influence. They are a cross between Gothic Rock and Heavy Metal -- I would actually recommend them to the mansonites.
I fell into the whole Gothic aspect because of my website so one of my readers sent me a CD-R sampling their stuff. They actually grew on me and I am trying to track down the CD where Eric Clayton, Devin Downsend and Dead Soul Tribe appear on the same CD.
I actually reviewed them as Gothic Rock on VampireFreaks.com but I basically see them as being a hybrid of Gothic Rock and Progessive Rock/Metal/Rock Opera.
I heard a lot of good things about them and nearly brought them to Gothicfest 2007 as one of the bands playing with Bella Morte (this is a Gothic Rock band which has the heavy metal traits.)
Their first two albums got them labeled a heavy metal band They have more controversy than Marilyn Manson -- that's was why I was drawn to them because I am just as controversial. They cut the power to one of their shows because they were playing Legion live and they set fire to a United Nations flag on stage.

SLIP INTO LIQUID (they are the original MEGACE line up)
Scott this is the band I was telling you about -- picture VOIVOD with a female vocalist. That would be Megace.

DAATH -- their whole catalog. I saw a video of theirs and I want to get their stuff. They're a mix between technical death metal and industrial metal. They have a Religious name but they deal with different subject matters that go with the theme of their philosophy. They don't go for the death metal style lyrics with their themes. Just say this -- they're as complex as Athiest in their day. I actually thought about auditioning for DAATH at one point but I don't know if I could keep up with their philosophical themes. They're the most educated death metal band out there as far as lyrics go.
Scar Symmetry -- they're kind of like VOIVOD lyrically.
In Flames -- A Sense of Purpose -- check out The Chosen Pessimist. That song is an epic by them that merges death/thrash metal guitars with metalcore vocals. In a strange way, the song works. It's HEAVY! The whole album is good but you have to listen to it on its own terms without hearing the other In Flames catalog. I heard the other In Flames stuff and that's just as good. I learned about them from the Tourniquet board I was active with in 2003.

I miss the progressive metal band Beyond Twilight. Their first album The Devil's Hall Of Fame is so amazing. The songwriting is unlike any other band and the best vocal performance from Jorn Lande, closely followed by his massive performance on Ark - Burn The Sun. Another band "missing" here.

Victory. Standing Like a Rock is a great song, I think it's from the album of re-recordings called Fuel to the Fire:

I have both ARK albums on my site. I think I own some Beyond Twilight also, I know I have them on my computer. Still haven't added them to my website though.

Yes. The first five Grand Funk albums are essential, especially the red album with Inside Looking Out, Paranoid, and In Need. I love it.
