You guys are lucky, we had to play with pine-cones and rocks. That is, when we weren't working 16 hours a day cleaning coal.

This thread brings back some memories for me for sure. Real good ones.

When I was kid my dad bought my these action figures:

Huggy Bear had an action figure?

They brought back the Garbage Pail Kids series a few years back... those were great! I also have some of those Marvel trading cards back from 1990-1991.

LEGOS! Loved them. And that was back when you had to use your imagination, not put together a preplanned set! Though I have to admit, those are pretty cool, too. Particularly the bigger Star Wars ones. I also had a GI Joe (with Kung fu grip!) and a Johnny West cowboy with all his accessories.

Anybody have Lincoln Logs. We played with those for hours. Also had the smash em derby cars that you rammed into each other and the parts flew off. My cats hated those things.

I had Lincoln Logs! I always got frustrated with them because I didn't have enough to build what I wanted to build.

My parents were garage saler people and we had like three sets.

Also does anyone remember:

These things were indestructible. Had three or four different ones.

Tonka and Corgy cars were my favorites. We used to siilate crashing, and blew them up with firecrackers, so none of them ever survive my childhood!

I also had the old standby Army men decked out in green. Those are cool!

We had Lincoln Logs (though nobody I know seems to remember them)... great for building cowboy forts, Lego of different sorts, and a lot of Star Wars figures!

Broke it very quickly, I might add.

Mostly I liked Transformers, He-Man and G.I. Joe figures. And M.A.S.K. if anyone remembers those.
