| Love Hammerfall. Got a chance to meet Oscar and bassist Magnus Rosén when they were touring with Dio. Magnus was really cool. He signed my CD and seemed generally interested in speaking to the fans. Oscar was ok too. He didn't want to be bothered with signing my CD for some reason, but I just assumed he was busy. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| Not a huge fan, but I'm glad they are the style they are and are out there bringing some tr00ness. Also they like Stormwitch, and everybody should. | |

| I loved their first disc (sans the ballads) but the others I have heard are WAY too flowery and not rocking enough IMHO. Some of the later stuff is total cornball and not in a good way.
HAMMERFALL aren't exactly the first band I think of when I think of tr00ness. Maybe lyrically they are but some of the major-key Euro-flower stylings aren't.

Stormwitch also kicks ass! - Temple of Blood wrote:

I bought it when it first came out and I didn't like any of the songs on there.

| Cheesy, but highly entertaining. Let's not forget that they were among the bands who kept the flame burning, back when metal was dying in the nineties. I'd love to see them live. | |

| They did, but people also forget Gamma Ray - 'Land of the Free', Rage - 'Black in Mind', both 2 years prior, and then Helloween - 'Master of the Rings' wasn't horrible either..Running Wild - 'Black Hand Inn'..both from '94. And those are just some of the more (sometimes) well known heavy/power metal albums. I feel like the HF debut was a little half baked, as were the follow ups. I always liked 'Crimson Thunder' the most. | |

| One of my favorite bands.
My personal favorite era was between 2000 - 2004. This is where they hit their peak. The albums, "Renegade" and "Crimson Thunder" pretty much are defining power metal masterpieces.
I like all of their albums, but it does seem they have slipped a bit since "Crimson Thunder".

| They are alright. Had a few of their albums, sold 'em. Just generic power metal to me anyways. They just have a bigger label backing them giving them more exposure. But they're good at what they do. | |
