| great album, production is a little strange and a few songs are much too samey, but the title track, 'When Death Calls', and 'Devil & Daughter', all Sabbath classics. | |

Highly unlikely since four of the Martin albums were on IRS. It seems harder than a sailor on shore leave to obtain the rights to albums on that label. But a Martin box would be an excellent investment. |

| I didn't give the Martin version of Sabbath a chance for years because i always heard negative reviews. But after i actually bought The Headless Cross i changed my mind and consider him a great vocalist. Some of the stuff is as good as both Ozzy and Dio material. | |

| Excellent album. Martin's best with the band and one of my favorite Sabbath albums. Heck, it's one of my favorite albums period. It's the only Martin album I don't own. Sure I could spend the $30-40 to buy it used, but as soon as I do, I know they'll be announcing Martin-era reissues. | |

| Back when Tower Records was still around it sold for about $5.00.... My favorite Martin/Sabbath albums are: 1. Headless Cross 2. Cross Purposes 3. The Eternal Idol 4. Tyr I didn't like the (Forbidden) album except for a song or two and the production was horrible. | |

| I like it, but not as much as The Eternal Idol, Tyr, and Cross Purposes. It's a helluva lot better than Forbidden though. | |

| Forbidden is definitely the least of the Martin albums, but there's still a few good tracks there. | |

| I love Headless Cross! I'm a big Sabbath freak in general. Tony Martin is a great vocalist and was chosen because he sounded a bit like Dio. All the albums with Tony Martin are great except "Forbidden" which I could never stand. | |

| I have all of the Martin era albums and honestly if he was not following two of the most revered metal vocalists Tony could have been a more respected vocalist. Not every song on the Martin era albums are great, but honestly not every song on the Ozzy or Dio eras are eiether, but it is Ozzy singing or Dio singing so it has become over looked because of who they are and the eras and albums they sang on. Headless Cross is excellent, I think my favorite Martin era album is Tyr or Cross Purposes. | |

| It wasn't until Tyr came out that I even gave Martin a chance, but after hearing that record I immediately changed my opinion. I really love all the Martin era stuff. Even Forbidden. Headless Cross is right up there with my Sabbath favorites. And while I spent a lot to collect all of them, I do think a Martin era box would be a cool idea. | |

I think I could really get into this album, from the few songs I've heard from it.

As do I. Is it true that The Eternal Idol is the only Martin-era Sabbath album currently still in print?
