- The article also reveals that Ozzy will release deluxe 30th-anniversary editions of his first two solo albums — "Blizzard Of Ozz" (1980) and "Diary Of A Madman" (1981) — with their original drum and bass tracks restored (unlike the 2002 reissues of these albums, which saw the replacement of the original bass and drum tracks by Osbourne's then-drummer Mike Bordin and -bassist Robert Trujillo).
EXCELLENT news. | |

SOUL SUCKER!! after listening to that i have doubts that I would even think of getting his new one. Yeah, it's not a terrible song, but it's like someone took a Zakk Wylde tune and filtered it through White Zombomatic.

| I hate how trendy Ozzy has become the last 20 years. He was once great but now he's a Rob Zombie wannabe. | |

Well, I wouldn't go that far. It's not really like White/Rob Zombie, and it's only one song.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. It's not really like White/Rob Zombie, and it's only one song. I thought the first single 'Scream' had a Rob Zombie vibe to it. That's 2-for-2 so far. And he used Rob's producer who is a Pro-tools studio magician guy. How is this not gonna sound like a Rob Zombie record? And I LIKE Rob Zombie. And I'm not hearing any Gus G. wizardry yet either. The guitars in Scream were sorta buried and this new track sounds like Zakk. Where's all the flash & dazzle Gus was supposed to bring? _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I've been saying that since they fired Zakk. Don't get me wrong, the last Ozzy album sounded like a BLS album. I get that a change needed to be made, but I just don't see Gus contributing much to this. Outside writers and producers are putting this album together, not Ozzy or his "band".
Gus is a new guy here, so he'll just go along with whatever Queen Sharon tells him to do. He's not gonna question anything. He'll get some publicity out of it. Good for him and his other projects.
It wouldn't surprise me if that's the main reason Sharon dumped Zakk. They probably banged heads on more than one occasion about musical direction while poor Ozzy sat on the couch, trying to figure out how ot work the remote. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I'd bet on that, you think Ozzy would think up dumping Zakk for Gus? I don't think this move is going to help Gus much, his name might get out there a little more but if he doesn't have a hand on the writing he's just one more hired gun. |

I'm thinking that it will help out Gus when he's touring with Ozzy moreso than his playing on the the album. He might be able to stretch his wings a bit more in the live setting and get folks to take notice, who will in turn look at his other work. Certainly couldn't hurt. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | It's ok. Actually, I was somewhat disappointed at the slightly industrial, modern rock approach of songs like "Let It Die" and "Soul Sucker". I was hoping Gus G would bring Ozzy back to a more classic hard rock/heavy metal sound. "Let Me Hear You Scream" sort of has that more classic sound. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| The sad thing, is that I'm not even interested enough to give it a listen right now. Based on the one single and knowing Ozzy's recent recording tendencies, it's just not my cup o' joe. |

| I'll pick it up at some point 'cause I am still a fan of the guy, but I'm not that excited over it to purchase it as a new release. There's other stuff out there that I'd rather get first. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Speaking of Ozzy, he is letting scientist test him to find out why he is still alive after all the years of drugs and alcohol:

| Why does he filter his vocals to such a ridiculous extent on all his new stuff?. He sounds like a midly-confused robot when he's singing.
First listen; the album is exactly as you might expect. I'll listen through it a few more times before deciding if it's a buyer or not.
His last album actually grew on me.

| I think most of his original fans have given up on him... The ones buying the recent stuff are the kids that grew up on his reality show i presume (hence the modern production and ridiculous song titles). | |

| I have not given up on Ozzy and his last album 'Black Rain' grew on me, but I never get excited over any new Ozzy releases, and I have n't in years, I am sure I will eventually buy it and even enjoy it for what it is, but for me the reality show, his wife's antics, may have soured me on his music some what, which I know is completely unfair. | |
