Anyone else keep track? I cut back this year, only purchasing 754 albums. Still ridiculous, I know, but much better than 1,138 (2008) and 1,047 (2007). This brings my grand total to 6,538. It would take me nearly a year to listen to every album, if I listened 24 hours a day. Haha.
So here's my 2009 haul (set your preferences to show HTML, if you just see the code):

I really don't spend a lot. I'm a bargain shopper; got it down to a science. I mean, I definitely spent a few thousand, but that's what I spend my money on. I spend $50 a week on music; but I have friends that spend $100 on beer in one night!
Nice list, Stender. The addiction is already present.

Dude, I cut back this year. You guys definition of "cutting-back" is very different from mine. Still, I see some killer titles there, some of which I got. I would list them, but after reading the other lists, mine would look pathetic... I feel so inferior...

I like it. Still not as good as the first three and the debut EP, but they were pretty bad there for a while (Only In Amerika and Back 2 Base X).
The lyrics make me cringe sometimes, though. I can't believe an adult could write some of that crap.

Church of Realities. It's really good, too. All but one song ("Hangman") was re-recorded for the debut, but oddly enough I think "Hangman" is one of the best on the EP. No idea why it was never re-recorded.

I cut back some this year. I bought around 150 CDs. That's about 100 less than I bought last year.

I'm hoping to cut back even further this year. I'm trying to focus my purchases on prog-rock/metal and hard rock, even melodic metal if it straddles that line.
Hoping and trying are they key words there. Haha.

I would have to look through the database to be sure, but I probably got less than 15 new releases and maybe 10 or 15 used discs. No budget for that stuff anymore.

That's what I've been doing mostly too. I focus on glam/sleaze bands unless there's a new release by an established band that I already like. I confine purchases of new band CDs to the glam/sleaze genre.
