Whether or not a band is "metal" or not shouldn't really have any bearing on the quality. Anyway, Therapy? are a good band - they have quite a varied discography of which I'm only familiar with a few albums, but it's generally all quite good. I'd definitely check out the album Troublegum, it's probably one of the things I listened to most this summer. Brilliant record with lots of great music and casual misanthropy.

Don't listen to Gilbert.
Therapy? are awesome! Yes, not metal at all, but still an amazing band. Each album has its own unique style, though still very much Therapy? in sound. They're one of my favorites.

A friend of mine just started listening to them and he loves them to the point of annoyance haha. I gave them a few listens because of him and I didn't really get into it. They aren't bad just not my cup of tea.

I've only heard one song, but I liked it! I might have to get some of their stuff.

I so knew you'd come to their defense. I just couldn't get into them for some reason. Maybe I didn't give them a chance.

Did Gilbert take offense to my vagina comment? If so, sorry, bud. It was all in good fun. I'm a big fan of vaginas.

Nausea (1992)
Trigger Inside (1994)
Stories (1995)
Church of Noise (1998)
Six Mile Water (1999)
Gimme Back My Brain (2001)
If It Kills Me (2003)
Rise Up (2004)
Sprung (2006)
Crooked Timber (2009)
Awesome.

This is the kind of alternative metal I dig.
I need to get me some Therapy? now.

They're definitely in the alt-rock vein, but they have a unique sound, in my opinion. They've been a favorite of mine since I heard Nurse when I was about 16.
Seek out their singles, too. The b-sides are excellent. For instance:
Okay, well...maybe that last one isn't amazing. Haha. Love that drum work, though.

Hey Ding Dong did you notice the Answer's little shout out to homeboys Therapy? in their song Cry Out off of Everyday Demons............ "Cry out we are young -- So high and hooked on Troublegum"
Always thought that was cool when i finally noticed it.
As for Therapy? i have Troublegum and really like it yet for some strange reason i haven't followed it up.

Nope. Never noticed that, but that's wicked cool.
No other album really sounds like Troublegum. I guess the closest would be High Anxiety, but they really have kind of reinvented themselves on each album. So don't go expecting Troublegum II, if you do check out other albums.
My personal favorite is Infernal Love.

I really need to check out more of their stuff, it all sounds rather good. Shame there's nothing quite like Troublegum though, I absolutely love that album. Nothing beats the opening of 'Knives' followed by 'Screamager'.

That's freekin' cool as heck! I didn't realize Bruce was into other kinds of music besides metal.
I guess a lot of band members really have eclectic tastes like a lot of us here do.

After this topic, I decided to pick up Infernal Love. Wow. What a bitterly misanthropic album. Whilst I do prefer the slightly more Troublegum-esque tracks on there, it's a great record all around. Just a bit disheartening, hah. That version of 'Diane' is actually just a bit chilling. Think either Semi-Detached or High Anxiety will be next.
