Just found out about this guitar christmas compilation. Every song is well done... The John Sykes track is amazing. Same with Robin Trower and Al di Meola.

Yeah - I like the guitarists on Vol 2 better than the first. I picked it up many years ago just for the Sykes and Hamm tracks [my 2 all-time favs]! Volume 1 has a couple of cool tunes - Kenny Wayne Shepherd doing Rudolph and Steve Vai song is good too.

Yeah, the 1st one was more bluesy players.

Another thing i like about it is there are no bad vocals. The vocals can kill it for me.

Merry Axemas Vols. 1 & 2 are both good, but I can't say which one I like better but two that really stand out this year are Ritchie Sambora & Steve Stevens.

I've had both for a few years now and love 'em. Played 'em both (among other Chirstmas tunes) last night. A particular fav is Joe Perry's 'Blue Christmas'.

Yes, all 3 of them and a greatest hits. Equally as good as the Merry Axemas albums. Different, but nice. His version of 'Mr. Grinch' is wicked cool.

The Axemas albums rank up there with TSO and now Halford's christmas offerings.
