New tunes from the upcoming Wolfheart album.

Some fine melo death there. Not really my field of interest to be honest. But i don't mind some from time to time.

Dawn of Solace was kind of a companion project to Before the Dawn. Similar, but more on the mellow side, more clean vocals, etc. The first album is brilliant.

A second album was in the works long ago, but there were some label issues and Tuomas walked away from the project. Great to see him resurrecting it after focusing solely on Wolfheart for the past six years.

New Dawn of Solace! So fucking good!



Looks like this one will feature all clean vocals by Mikko Heikkilä, who sang on the Black Sun Aeon albums and the one-off RoutaSielu album. On the first Dawn of Solace album, Tuomas did the death metal vocals and Lars Eikind, who was also in Before the Dawn, did the cleans.

Anyway, still mostly talking to myself about this dude and his bands because he's pretty damn amazing.

I like this when I'm in the mood, Wolfheart has good stuff. I'm glad he's doing more with clean vocals, I'm not as into the growling as I used to be.

I watched that last video. It's too ...atmospheric for me. I enjoyed that one listen, but can't imagine wanting repeated listens.

Not sure if there will be any growling on this new one. I know Mikko can do growls, though, so maybe...

They have an EP coming out in March. Also it seems like Tuomas has used the downtime during this pandemic to write a new Dawn of Solace album and a new Before the Dawn album, plus other things. Gonna be a good year for this dude...

Before the Dawn got back together to record a new track for a reissue of the Deadlight album, and as expected it's fucking killer!



As much as I love Wolfheart and all of his other projects, Before the Dawn remains my favorite. Lars's clean vocals are so good, the mix so well with Tuomas's growls. I hope this one track is a signals more new music from them in the future.

I started this thread 13 years ago! Pretty sure this is the longest thing I've ever dedicated my life to. Haha.

Well, this is interesting. Before the Dawn are back...with a new singer. This dude covered "Deadsong" on some Finnish TV show, so Tuomas reached out to see if he'd want to work on some music. Guess it sounded so much like Before the Dawn, he decided to just bring it back and have this dude handle all vocals.

And it's badass!



I love Lars Eikind's clean vocals in BTD, so I kind of hope he returns, but who knows? Either way, kick-ass new tune!

And a new Wolfheart video came out recently. Once again, some new musical flavors mixed in. Killer stuff!
