Master of Puppets

I know this topic has been probably discussed over and over...But i really need to say this. A few days ago, i went on a solo long drive from Beirut to Bucharest., my CD box filled with some essentials. During the whole trip, the only album i listened to was Master of Puppets. Over and Over again, never getting bored at all.

Now this is a masterpiece and it always will be.

Ah, and one more thing. Lars, i miss your aggressive drumming.

Master is a classic, no doubt about it - Not a weak song on the album, though, I just wish Lars' drumming would be a bit more up front in the mix. My all time favourite album, by a hair, will always be ...And Justice For All

...And Justice For All is my fav 'tallica album but Puppets is definitely a classic metal album although I do prefer Ride The Lightening.

Lightning and Puppets are essential metal albums.

Puppets IMO is the best thrash album ever. I could do the same thing and listen over and over again. Fav tracks are Orion and Leper Messiah.

MoP is one AWESOME album!!!!

Side two is all I can still listen to from this album, the rest I've heard WAY too many times.

Disposable Heroes is one of my favorite Metallica tracks however....

How long did it take you to drive to Bucharest ?

It's good but overrated! I loved it as a kid but now that I have heard more thrash there are a lot of other thrash albums that I prefer.

Great album! That's all that needs to be said.

I like it. Still think that it's the single most overrated metal album in history, but it's good.

Good album. Kill em all is better in my opinion though.

I've grown a little bored of it over the years from excessive overplay, but I'm not going to sit here and say it didn't mean anything to music. It was/is a ground-breaking metal album.

I burned myself out on Master of Puppet many years ago, but every once in a while I'll pull it out again and give it another spin. It sounds so good all these years later. It is indeed a great album.

Having said that, Kill 'Em All is my favorite Metallica disc.

It's not as played out as TBA and i don't play it that often so it's all good. It's a timeless classic.

ride the lightning is my fav.....

Master is a great album.I really only care about three of their albums and this is one of those.The other two-Justice and Ride the Lightning.

For me it's the best record ever. Ever.

Great, great album!!! It's my second favorite from Metallica. My fave will probably always be "... And Justice for All".

But this is easily number 2!!!

And I don't agree it's very overrated. That would be "The Black Album". Very overrated that one is.

But those first 4 Metallica albums are ALL essential!!!
