Magma is of course a killer band, but the great thing about progressive rock is how diverse the different sounds and approaches are. I don't think they would "school" anyone because their approach to prog is very unique. This also isn't some lame battle of the bands at your local bowling alley.  |

| I'm a fan of at least 5 bands on that lineup (Caravan, Magma, The Pineapple Thief, Opeth and Steven Wilson). The other groups I haven't really explored yet so I'll be checking them out in the future.

| I went and saw Clutch and The Sword last night. That club was packed for a Tuesday night!!! As I was leaving some folks at the club were giving out free tickets for tonight's Fear Factory/ Hate Eternal show. I'll be heading out to that later. | |
