| Does anyone here like this Italian metal band? They are power metal, with nods towards thrash. At times they remind me a bit of Nevermore. | |

| I've got their NEIGHBOURHELL album from a few years back. Pretty cool power/thrash stuff. Kinda reminds me of Annihilator at times. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I've got a few of their discs that I picked up dirt cheap when Tower Records was closing shop. They were a blind purchase based soley on the cool covers and little promo sticker (For fans of...The newest from Italian Power/Thrash...etc). Pretty cool stuff. I'd say the Nevermore comparison is sorta accurate. I should break 'em out again and see if anything in particular sticks. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | I have Seeds Of Rage but like kmorg it just never really clicked with me. I didn't think it was bad or anything, just wasn't something that got return listens. I'll admit I had high hopes for it so I may have been letdown. Maybe I should break it out again and see if a fresh listen changes anything. | |

Since I've known you for going on 7 years now, I know your taste pretty well. I would say I am 99.9% sure you'll like these guys!!! I mean ... they're Italian for crying out loud!

Yeah, give it a fresh spin. It didn't click with me either at first ... it proved to be a grower though.

| I have all the discography. Needless to say that "El Nino" is one of the best European power/prog albums of the '90's. Amazing! With their 2 previous albums to follow. The "Reverse" album was a little bit modern for me but still decent I've lost traces after the "portrait.." album don't know why... | |

I didn't know there was a Japanese Eldritch. What are they like? All-out true thrash. They put out one essential album in '93 calle "Blood Breed Calls My Name". |

| I have seen a few of their discs for sale pretty cheap (like $6 and under) and read some reviews, but I have never hear a note from them. I have to hear some of their stuff soon. Peace. | |

I don't think anyone here was saying that the Italian Eldritch was thrash. Uncle Saxon was just saying there is a Japanese band of the same name that is thrash. Not the band for whom this thread was started. No one was calling them thrash. I just said they had some 'thrashy' moments in their music. They're not a flower metal band. They play an aggressive form of power metal, much like Nevermore.

Yeah, give it a fresh spin. It didn't click with me either at first ... it proved to be a grower though. I have 3 of their releases and I just randomly grabbed one ( Seeds of Rage) into work with me this week to give it a fresh spin. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. I'm thinking I don't like them as much as I thought I did. I was listening to Seeds of Rage yesterday and I was just thinking "meh". I'll keep it in rotation this week and give it some more spins though. In all fairness, I did have to keep the volume fairly low. Lotsa folks walking in and out of my work area. Maybe I'm missing something. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
