Well, Jon Oliva's Pain has released three SAVATAGE-like discs in the last 5 years or so.

FATES WARNING is one, but I didn't care for their last disc.

Definetly Savatage, but also now since they got back together Faith No More. Also I think Metallica should be working on a new one to keep their momentum going, but I know thats not going to happen til another 5 years or so.

ZZ Top - I heard they were working on a new one with Rick Rubin
Iron Maiden - Thankfully they will have a new one out next year - they are writing at the end of this year, studio already booked for Jan/Feb next year. It's been 3 years since A Matter Of Life & Death came out

According to Joe Perry, the new Aerosmith album was pretty much done, and they were looking for a fall '09 release. Then Steven got hurt and cancelled the tour, so they're going back and tweaking some more things just because they have more time now. He said it probably wont be out till early next year. Yeah... but the chance that we'll see another record in a couple of years is minute. Which sucks. Such a killer band. Black Death is probably in my top 10 American heavy metal records.
