| I have been a diehard stand-up comedy fan since I snuck into Eddie Murphy RAW when I was about 14. No, scratch that. It was the first time I heard Steve Martin's WILD & CRAZY GUY album. I must have been about 9. Anyways, Ruthie and I go to stand-up shows often (even last weekend - we saw John Bush - HILARIOUS!). I even had a national touring comedian play my basement a couple months ago for my 2 year sobriety party. Coolest party I have ever had!
Any-hoo. Some of my all-time favs are:
Andy Kaufman Emo Bill Hicks Norm McDonald Margaret Cho and most recently a guy named Lewis C K. He made me laugh so hard I almost puked!
How about you? |

| I like Denis Leary & Steve Hughes (he's was the drummer for Mortal Sin during the Face of Despair tour) he's doing stand up now, and Ed Byrne. |

| Carlin is the man. I also enjoy Bill Engvall, Denis Leary and Jon Stewart (though those last two don't do much standup anymore, they really SHOULD) | |

Yep. Mitch was one of my favs. I find Sarah Silverman to be pretty hilarious. Louis CK is another awesome comedian. Unfortunately my friends are lame, so unless a comedian is on Comedy Central or HBO, I don't see them. |

| Dane Cook's too slick for me...I need a douche giving me the funnies, not some guy outta a Calvin Klein commerical...I'm jelous of everybody, really.
I find Robin Williams, old school Bill Cosby, Mr. Carlin and Bob Saget to be the guys; whom I can name off the top of my head, deliver the goods on a fairly consistent basis. |

| The wife & I love to go to comedy shows. Along with the classics (Steve Martin, Carlin, Cosby, Rodney, etc.) I'm a big fan of Brian Regan, Greg Giraldo, Dave Atell, Greg Fitzsimmons and Chris Rock. I used to like Dane Cook when he was first coming up on the scene, but I think he got too big too fast and sorta lost his mojo. He's not funny anymore. | |

| George Carlin is my all time favorite. I also am a big fan of Mitch Hedberg and Lewis Black. I hate Dane Cook with a burning passion. One of the worst comediens out there IMO. |

| One of the funniest routines I've ever heard was believe it or not by Arsenio Hall way back long before he was ever a talk show host. Another was by Rodney Dangerfield. But it was a much different Rodney than I've seen on TV. He was really edgy and profane, and funny as hell. I'd like to get some CD's of the "dirty" Rodney, if anyone knows which ones to look for. | |

| peter kay does pretty funny real life observation comedy. not very original but a fat guy pointing out ordinary things and making them funny as hell is quite a talent. always liked joe pasquale for his leaf blower toilet roll gag | |

Andrew Dice Clay Eddie Murphy Richard Prior Steve Martin (oh boy has he fallen over the years) THE DICE MAN!!! That guy is hilarious. Has anyone seen the thing of him making fun of Shadows Fall? Very funny, especially since I hate that band with a passion. |
