PostSubject: Multiple Nights/Multiple Albums   Multiple Nights/Multiple Albums Icon_minitimeThu Jul 30, 2009 2:41 pm

Currently on tour, Steely Dan have been playing the same venue for at least 3 nights (sometimes more) and each night playing a different album in it's entirety (plus some other songs) and some nights playing fan submitted set-lists. If you're Steely Dan fan, I suppose you'd be messing your wrinkle-free khaki Dockers at this idea. I'm not one of those people, but it got me thinking...

What band would you like to see play at least 3 shows and what albums would you like them to play in their entirety each night?

EDIT: I'm not knocking Steely Dan. I think this is an awesome idea. I'm just not a fan of their music. Rolling Eyes

I think STEELY DAN is/was a great band.

I don't think I'd want to listen to any one group for that long though.

It would be killer though!!!

Bruce Springsteen is going to do the entire Born To Run album on some upcoming gigs. Would love to see that.

Practically every one of these posts are as about as likely to happen as are the chances of Jessica Biel walking up and asking me to give her a boob massage. But it's fun to imagine, ain't it? greedy

ok since it does not have to be realistic:

The Doors- their self titled debut/ Strange Days/L.A. Woman

AC/DC-Let there Be Rock/Highway to Hell/Power Age

Black Sabbath-3 different albums and 3 different line ups

night one-Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
night two-Heaven and Hell
night 3-Born Again

opening band would the Tony Martin led Black Sabbath performing Headless Cross, TYR and the Eternal Idol.

What a great concept and even better lists.

I'll add three nights of Suicidal Tendencies playing Join The Army/How Will I Laugh/Lights..Camera..Revolution with the encores over all three night playing the debut.

Not metal, but I just read a press release that Bruce Springsteen, who is playing 4 nights in Philadelphia next week, will play "Born to Run", "Darkness on the Edge of Town" and "Born in the USA" in their entirety on different nights, ("Born to Run" will be played twice).

I'm no Springsteen fan, but that seems pretty cool to me if you're a hardcore fan. Seems like allot of established bands are starting to do this whole "play a classic album in it's entirety" thing. I like it.
