Favorite power metal album.

Can you do it? I'm wanting to keep this in the trOO power metal category like Metal Church, Vicious Rumors maybe Primal Fear. I like the european and some symphonic power metal say Silent Force or Firewind, (I know Ult, the ones named after farts) but let's keep it narrow.

Such a great, underappreciated album and band that really tore it up. Solid album all way through and the songs really stick with me. Everything about it works for me: the drum sound, the guitars and the production are great.

If we're talkin' old school and assuming these bands qualify as "power metal" I'd vote for Raven's ALL FOR ONE and/or Anvil's METAL ON METAL.

Hmm..maybe either Savatage's sirens or Hall of the mountain king or Crimson Glory Trancendence.

I totally agree. That's why we covered one song and had the honor of him doing the vocals for us on that one.

If you love that disc like me then hopefully one day you will be able to check out the band he did after he left DB, called ALTERED STATE. I hope that demo gets put out by a label one day so it will be widely circulated. Incredible demo that perhaps even tops DB.

Also make sure you check out Ski's new band FAITH FACTOR. Ski still has the magic.

If Metal Church can be called power metal, then their first three albums can all be named.

Also, if Fates Warning can be considered such, their first three albums as well.
