The Moshketeers question

I have the cassette of this release. Pretty good thrash, with some other influences tossed in from time to time. First question (Scott could probably answer this) is if there is any sight of a CD release of the album?

Second question is: Would anyone happen to have this in MP3 format? I've got the cassette, but it doesn't do me much good when I'm in the car. I've only got a cassette player in my home stereo...

I second that request for a CD release. I'm DEFINITELY good for at least one copy!

Yes, I have some MP3s ripped of the album.

The Downward Spiral is not their only album. They recorded a second album that was never released. I really want to see it released, as well as all their demo material. They had a '97 demo, the Rapture - Vacation from Hell demo, & the self-titled demo from '89. They had several other demos in the 80's, but anything before that wasn't thrash.

I'll post Retroactive's email address tomorrow and you all can send them a little mail telling them you are interested.

I have the 4-song demo with "Ye", "The Downward Spiral" and the Rapture "Vacation From Hell" demo. What else am I missing? It doesn't have to be thrash to pique my interest. I just wanna know what else there is so I can keep my eyes peeled.

That would be I. I'm an "active" member on about 4 message boards, and a freqruent visitor/occasional poster on about 2 or 3 others.

WOW! I just checked their music on the link that you send me, and I don't get how a band like this didn't released their music on cd. This band sounds better than some popular thrash bands

Its seems I like goofy/cheesy usually so thats probably why I dig it.

The Moshketeers were fun and had a great sense of humor, despite the very deep theological lyrics. They took after Anthrax a bit, wearing the ghastly Berumuda shorts on stage. They were originally called Rapture, but in 1989 with the change in style to speed metal and thrash, the name seemed to fit beter. I always liked the name myself. It's goofy, but it's suppose to be.

Yeah, goofy, but who cares? It was a clever name. Thrash has always had its share of guys wearin' cheesy outfits, but man, what FUN it was (and IS)!
