Greatest Guitarist

Slash. Not because he is a better guitar player than those listed but because out of my favorite guitarists, he is one of the only ones on that list (others being Kerry King and Kirk Hammett). However, IMO no guitarist will ever top the late, great Criss Oliva.

My second favorite.




He's not on the list at the top, probably because room needed to be made for the Rage Against the Machine guy.

I chose simply based on personal taste and who I love hearing solos by:

in my opinion
Randy Rhoads is teh greatest guitar player that ever lived
another one of my favorites would be dimebag
then SRV
but
hands down randy takes it

On the albums Killing Technology thru Nothingface, (among others)
this guy took metal guitar to completely uncharted territory.

How about removing a couple of those dime a dozen hacks,
::cough::hammett-perry::cough-cough::
and putting this man up there where he belongs!

Yeah, even if true, its in question if Jimmy was baked to a crisp or not when he made the comment.
