I just read that White Lion are putting out a new comeback record.

Love me some White Lion, but it ain't White Lion without Vito Bratta, and he isn't involved.

This is essentially "Mike Tramp's White Lion" (i.e. the W.L. cover band he's been touring with for the past couple of years), I guess Mike finally got the right to use the old name without sticking "Mike Tramp" in front of it.

No Vito? And James Lomenzo (sp?) is still, for now, with Megadeth. Doesn't sound like much of a White Lion comeback to me.

I wasn't to much of a fan until I heard their cover of Radar Love. I remember buying the cassette single and on the flip side was a song called "If My Love Is Evil" or something like that. Really cool tune. I don't know if it was an unreleased track or if it appeared on one of their albums. I think I still have their greatest hits cd. It's been years since I listened to it though. White Lion gets allot of play on Sirius sattellite radio, which is probably why I haven't listened to the cd.

Whatever happened to ol' Vito anyways? After White Lion broke up, he sorta fell of the planet. Did he ever do anything else or was he painting billboards with the guy from Kix?

According to this oldie article I found on Blabbermouth, Vito has "not been involved in the music industry in any capacity since 1994" and he's "currently residing in his childhood house on Staten Island, where he lives a modest life trying to keep himself out of the spotlight."
So he's apparently gone all Howard Hughes.

What a shame that Vito is not involved! GREAT guitar player.
White Lion without him is as Spectrefate said Mike Tramps White Lion, and they`ve been around a long time.
I jumped in my chair when I read the headline for this thread, cos I thought that maybe the old line up was back together again!
Both Mike Tramp and Lomenzo has said in interviews i`ve read that they would consider getting back together with Vito. And in a rare radio interview a year back, Vito didn`t rule out that it may happen one day.
Oh well i will buy it anyway, Mike Tramps voice brings me straight back to the Eighties Smile

Who cares who it is? It's a name. Mike Tramp has released some outstanding music over the years. He doesn't sing in that high register anymore, either. I guess it wasn't natural for him. A few of those sound clips sound pretty much like his solo stuff, which is very different from White Lion.

This won't be White Lion, but it'll probably be good.

Those samples are okay, but it ain't even close to White Lion. Mike Tramp should have just done this as a new project. His voice is not as strong as it used to be.

Its decent melodic rock. But it ain't metal, and White Lion used to be metal.

I love Vito's guitar solo in wait - I remember first time I heard it on the radio - I couldn't believe that a hit song had such a long and cool guitar solo (especially since they usually edited the solo down in the 80's - i.e. - see radio edit of Metal Health)

White Lion was only "Metal" on thier 'Fight To Survive' album...from 'Pride' onward, they were "Hair Metal"...about as "Metal" as Poison or Warrant...
