Misheard lyrics

Many, many people mishear lyrics and those misheard words sometimes become 'truth'. Example: Smoke on the Water- slow talkin' Walter (and fire engine guy) OR CCR, 'there's a bathroom on the right'.

i think it's the funniest with bands that have growled vocals. for instance, there's a between the buried and me song that has a line that i swear to god sounds exactly like, "A DORITO!!!" (actual lyrics: "under it all...") and it kills me.

On Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust", there is a part in the middle or toward the end when Freddy yells something that sounds like "I'm not adopted".

Black Sabbath - Time Machine

The line "You'll see you've got invisible chains" I misheard as "You'll see the garden bishop of change." Lol! I could not figure out what a garden bishop was.

Another one for me Beastie Boys Slow & Lo

Actual Line: Cash on Delivery like a COD
What I hear: Castle Delivery like a COD

figured it was another ref to White Castle as according to the song White Castle Fries only come in one size

In the song "Murder of a God" by Torture Squad, it sounds like the chorus is "Motherf*cker!" instead of the song title being repeated.

I've always been a big Springsteen fan, so that one never got me. On his version he clearly sings Revved up like a deuce.

One that always got me was Bennie and the Jets by Elton John:

What I heard: Oh the weed it's so wonderful.
Lyric: Oh they're weird and they're wonderful

I now feel like a total dumbshit, but until a couple of years ago, I always thought Dave was singing "I have no love in Korea". You can figure out how stupid that sounds now.

After double checking... The version I was referring to is the Manfred Mann cover of the song which apparently is "Revved up like a deuce". The original version written by Springsteen is "Cut loose like a deuce"...
Regardless, the Manfred Mann version sounds like he says doosh instead of deuce.

In a "misheard lyrics" thread on Facebook today, I saw someone sez her 11 year old mistook the chorus of "Smooth Up In Ya" by the BulletBoys as "School of Ninjas."

...I actually like that better
