There are two bands with the name, one has the Hard cd and the other is more of a punk band.

Haha! It's really weird that you would need to explain who The Shadows were! . They were everywhere when I was a kid and probably as famous for being Cliff Richards' backing band in the early days of his career as for the instrumental stuff. Not really my generation but really famous all the same. Then again, you guys don't really know Status Quo either!

I kinda knew who they were. I didn't recognize the name Hank Marvin right off the bat, but I've heard the song 'Apache' by The Shadows.
My dad had lots of surf-rock and guitar instrumental stuff in his vinyl collection from back in the day. The Ventures, Davie Allan and the Arrows, Link Wray, Duane Eddy, etc. I grew up listening to it, even if I didn't know who it was at the time.

I recently re-visited that album myself and forgot what a ripper it was. Their album 1487 is good too. They have a 3rd album out as well, but I've never heard that one.

I liked it. It is not Lipservice but it is an enjoyable bluesy rock album. I think it is a a little too long at 13 songs but the songs are mostly rockers, which is an improvement over firebirth and Bang.
I got the amazon download for $10.48 and feel good about the purchase.
