New KIX album - Rock Your Face Off

I swore there was a mention of this somewhere, but darned if I can find it. Must be buried in another thread somewhere. Oh well. Here goes...

The Maryland band is primed and ready to "Rock Your Face Off" with their seventh new album, set for release August 5 on Loud & Proud Records. It's everything fans know and love them for: a raucous, roaring and real display of rock 'n' roll. The first single, "Love Me With Your Top Down", will be released to radio and online retail outlets later this month. Eddie Trunk will exclusively world premiere the song during his "Friday Night Rocks" radio show originating from Q104.3 (heard in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut) this Friday, June 20 from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET. It will then air via his numerous North American syndicated affiliates on Saturday, June 20 and he'll play it on Monday, June 23 during his "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" show that airs on SiriusXM's "Hair Nation" channel (39) at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET.

What makes the new album even more exciting and anticipated is that it features most of the band's original lineup: Steve Whiteman (vocals), Brian "Damage" Forsythe (guitar), Ronnie "10/10" Younkins (guitar), Jimmy "Chocolate" Chalfant (drums), with the exception of Mark Schenker (bass).

Steve Whitman has quite a lisp. Never really noticed that before. Sounds like classic Kix to me.

Except Eddie Trunk is a moron.

I like what I've heard so far. "Love Me With Your Top Down" is a little better than "Can't Stop the Show" but both sound like classic Kix--nothing more, nothing less. I have a good feeling about this one!

Same here. I know I foolishly passed it over numerous times in the past. When it was a new-ish release, I had no time for some "d-list hair band". Now I'll end up paying through the nose for a used copy for such ignorance.

Eh, there's a few tracks on the Cool Kids album that would put that statement to the test  

Steve W still looks great. Classic KIX guitar riffs and happy type harmonies - love it -
they haven't changed their tune after 15-20 years - love that too !
After one listen - the song is that catchy ! Always street sexy -this cd will rock, no question.
Saw them during 'midnight dynamite' tour - they were exciting -
Too bad they never broke it big - they have many many cool tunes !

True...but for me, Cool Kids was my introduction to Kix, so I do enjoy the entire album

I could be mistaken, but I think that was just a general "disliked flip-off" to Eddie. Nothing Kix related.   

Ult, me and Uncle Saxon met Trunk on the MOR cruise . Of all the peope I met on the boat (Saxon, Stryper, Lita Ford, Loudness, Cinderella etc) he came off has having the biggest ego. I'm not kidding. I f you had told me he was that big a tool, I would have never believed you.
