'From The Vault…Tortured And Broken" featuring classic album 'Breaking Point" as well as 'Torture Knows No Boundary" EP plus tons of bonus material!

On the 5th of July Metal Blade will release From The Vault…Tortured And Broken, a HERETIC boxset featuring two CDs and one DVD!

CD 1 includes HERETIC's classic album Breaking Point featuring later METAL CHURCH singer Mike Howe on vocals. The album has been remastered for maximum audio quality and features four bonus tracks.

CD 2 includes the band's first official recordings, the infamous Torture Knows No Boundary EP (aka Don't Turn Your Back) featuring the band's current vocalist Julian Mendez as well as nine bonus tracks. All being remastered as well!

The bonus-DVD features two live shows from 1985 and 1986 as well as a video-clip.

Yes it is released in Europe, but we will have them available from our website.... When we get back from HOA fest in Germany. Thats where we will pick them up from....

Am I the first person in the world to get this? I posted a picture of me holding the box set on Heretic's FB page, and got comments that I got it before the band members!!

This has to be so far the best investment I've made for my collection. I have never been so happy with a release or reissue in my life. This has so much to offer and I only payed 30 bucks...crazy! There are a few minor flaws--moderate-to-high compression (but by no means brickwalled and a THOUSAND times better than the Reverend reissues), typos in the liner notes, worst offender is no credits--but those are easily forgiven by both the presentation and archival nature of the release. This is a true box set with such a great amount of bonus tracks, especially the live Riding with Angels featuring Howe. Breaking Point is fantastic (I believe it's the same remaster as the MP3 release that I own) and scorches throughout with songs that just refuse to exit the brain. Torture Knows No Boundary (this is my first listen) is better than I expected. It's rough, but more than listenable and very METAL. Julian was such a good vocalist; even though I enjoy Howe to a greater extent I can say I could happily hear Julian singing through Breaking Point. The notes by Korban for both albums are a fun and interesting read, even with the typos and amateurish writing. I've yet to see the bonus DVD (I'm dying to but I always take way to long to get around to those, like the new Accept) but it looks like some great, time-travelling sets, even with commentary! Metal Blade has really outdone themselves with this collection and I can't recommend it enough for USPM and Metal Church fans everywhere.
