My first DVD purchase of the year:



RAW is a shell of it's former self, but I've been watching it from the beginning (with only a few years lost while in the Navy) and there have been some great moments and I want to relive them. I actually wish I could re-watch every episode from the first to the late 90s all over again. Maybe when I have my own cable bill I could get WWE on demand or when if finally makes it's debut in about 10 years from now, I can get the elusive WWE channel .

I got Promethius, The Lost Boys, & Book Of Eli from the pawn shop. $10

Daylight on blu-ray. Always been a big fan of this movie.

Just 2 more seasons and I will have the entire series. All this after it looked like the DVDs wouldn't make it past the first season (poor sales). Now they only need to get past the royalties problem with The Drew Carey show so I can have all my favorite comedy shows on DVD.

I'm holding out hope they release a complete series for Night Court. I loved that show as a kid and I'm guessing it'd hold up even better today.

Scored a blu-ray copy of Psycho. I guess it has gone out of print because the price has really gone up on it. Figured I better get it while I still could.

You only hope is probably getting it season by season. After season 3 they have been released exculsively by WB Home Video (i.e. only direct from them and when they run out, they run out). You can probably get them all from used sellers for less than $30 on Amazon, but they haven't thrown to much money into them. They are not remastered but dubbed from tape and no extras, though the episodes are full episodes (not syndicated cuts).

Distribution of Paramount blu-ray titles has changed hands and will now be handled directly by Universal, thus Psycho falls under that. It will be reissued soon with new cover art but no other difference.

It is actually good news for Paramount film titles because their reissue program was completely stalled, expect new never-before-released blu-ray titles to start showing up soon.

Glad I didn't pay too much then. Guess that explains why Zodiac has come back into print. Can I assume a Friday the 13th box is on the way then?

Cool that they are not the cuts. I hate when they do that. I understand when there are music rights involved - but no excuse otherwise for using chopped up versions. I'm going to have to get on getting those individual seasons looks like.

I hate cuts too. Because The Drew Carey Show has music rights preventing anything past season 1 I had to get illegal downloads and bootleg DVDs. Unfortunatly, many of these were from the TBS syndication and I'm missing two episodes and some of my favorite scenes from certain episodes have been cut.

The syndicating channels have a looser set of rules around how many commercials they can play during an episode. So they edit the show to fit in more commercials.

I got Unforgiven on DVD yesterday at a used CD/movie/video games store.

Recently, I bought Stolen, 2 Headed Shark Attack, Taken 2 and Dredd.
