Help me with my Powermetal collecting...what am I missing??

I posted this in two places hoping for various and valued mix of ideas. I'm a cheese eating, cheese merchant Powermetal
loving fool....I'll admit it. I love the more melodic, epic and/or
thrashy side of things but can handle some "proggish" sounding stuff.

That's a great list. I'm sure you have been to this website: www.metal-archives.com. Just go to the genre section and click on the power metal section and you'll see just about every power metal band ever.

Seems like people were sugesting a little "all over the place". To me power metal is bands like Metal Church, Iced Earth, Heretic, Reverend, Nevermore etc. But from the list you put up, I'd say your are leaning more towards the European "happy metal" camp. So I'll throw in a band that is both!

Yes....Flower, Happy, Hollywood, Cheese....I love it!! But I do love the Iced Earth, Brainstorm, Symphorce, Nevermore side of things too.....

Angel Dust is a great suggestion! Can't believe I forgot them.

Forgotten Tales from Montreal (I believe) has 2 GREAT albums (The Promise & All The Sinners) out that are similar to Helloween or Rhapsody but with female vocals. I highly recommend them both.
