Evergrey - Glorious Collision

Well, this just popped out off of nowhere! A brand new Evergrey, from a brand new Evergrey! Only 2 members are left from the "old Evergrey", but with Tom still behind the writing desk, and the mic, this still sounds like Evergrey. The music is a bit more classically oriented, and not as much "wall-of-sound-modern-power-metal" as their back catalogue, and they have experimented a bit more with sound effects in the production. But all in all, it doesn't sound all that different. I think this is a good album from one of my favorite bands.

Hasn't Tom pretty much been Evergrey since day one, writing most of the songs and all that?

Either way, I'll be picking it up today along with the new DevilDriver.

I've been curious as to how this would be. I'll probably pick it up soon.

Yes. But it is still bound to affect the sound a bit when 3 of the 5 members are replaced.

This is certainly on my radar.

I think it is better than the last 2 albums, actually.

I might have to check it out then, I was really excited for the last album but it just came up rather dull or something to me.

I agree too but I did like it. Nothing I've heard from them tops The Inner Circle though.
