Rail?

I wouldn't have mentioned this band, except that I was astonished to see Shiney mention them on Ult's ill advised "what am I missing" thread. I just discovered this band on CD Baby a month ago, never heard of them when they were around 25 years ago. From what I can gather they are known for three things....

1. Touring 47 cities with Van Halen.
2. Having a fairly popular video in the early days of MTV
3. Featuring the producer's girlfriend (Nancy Wilson of Heart) in a duet. It's actually quit the rockin' song surprisingly.

I found this band interesting because of all the obvious vocal influences. The dude sounds variously just like Punky Meadows, Tommy Shaw, Nancy Wilson of course (the only way you can tell thier voices apart is that his is higher!) and even on some of the moodier songs, Halford! Strange band.

Yea, I vaguely remember this band. If memory serves, they won their record deal through a contest in the very early days of MTV

I had a tape of theirs back in high school and loved it..then forgot all about them...thensaw they had re-issues on cdbaby and boght "Adio"....

I know very little about the band or their history other than they did hail from the Pacific North West...

I still listen to the 1984, 4 song ep entitled Rail. I always thought the singer sounded like whats his nugget from Britny Fox-TJ
