Sonata Arctica New Video "Flag In The Ground"

Sounds pretty good I think. A lot more promising this time around.

I saw them on a free concert they did, and I liked what I heard. the thing is that the songs were very repetitive

Yea their older songs were kind of repetative but they are great all the way up til the album UNIA then they ruined their momentum on that one. This song seems pretty good so hopefully this album is better.

I am one of the few people who actually enjoyed Unia. It wasn't amazing, but it's no way near as bad as the power metal die-hards make it out to be.

Anyway, this new song sounds like a blend of the older stuff and Unia. It should be a good combination, but 'Flag In The Ground' is just a bit boring to me. I hope the entire album is stronger.

I like Unia as well. Saw SA on that Tour and the Unia songs play great Live.

Great vid but the rest of it sucks! I heard a promo of it!

I also liked Unia, despite it taking several spins to get into it. I was hoping for more stuff like Reckoning Night and like so many others, was upset with Sonata Arctica. However, I gave it some more chances to grow on me (I would much more have prefered a continuation of RN though). So whether it's more of the same or a mix of old and new, I would probably pick this up, but I'm not in a hurry.

When I listened to some of Tony Kakko's lyrics, I wondered... have all of his relationships been smurfed up??

Haven't seen this band live since BEFORE Ecliptica came out. I've liked pretty much everything since then. The vuideo is no longer working

Haha, I've always thought exactly this. If his lyrics are anything to go by, the man is incredibly unlucky in love. Also, I can't wait to see Sonata Arctica live for the first time in December!

O.K. it seems like I will be getting this one as soon as I can. Hopefully this song is a good representation of what this album will sound like. Awesome album cover too.

The video is cool, although I cannot escape the Gary Moore Over the Hills comparison...

Unfortunately the other promo songs I've heard were an awful slow soap operetta making Unia more and more desirable to those ole years... and yes, he was indeed singing about lost love, broken hearts, and the ongoing misfortunes of his "little friend"... no smurf poo.

I thought it was ok but I doubt I will end up getting it... This once mighty band is a shell of its former self..
