Anyone a fan of this Indonesian avante-garde band?

I had their first demo tape and the next two CDs. Those were black metal from what I remember. I guess they've changed styles since then if you ar calling them "avante-garde"?

Ya Ult, I don't think they even fall under the "metal" umbrella anymore. I don't even know how to describe them, so I used what Metal Archives describes them as "Avant-garde/Experimental Extreme Metal" whatever that may mean. I doubt you'd them them now.

BTW, last night I went on an Ultimatum binge. TMOPT is such a killer album. I appreciate it more and more as the years pass by.

Shawn if you enjoyed this, you'll enjoy the two albums before that one.

I'd still call it metal but more of a hybrid metal. However, I only have Painful Experience, 1000 Thoughts Of Violence, and Acidity, so I am an album behind so maybe I'm wrong.

I read on a HEAVEN'S METAL interview that they were moving away from metal in general. They said that they no longer feel interested on playing metal, since one of the member says he doesn't listen to metal any more.

That's too bad and all too commonplace IMO. However, tastes change and I guess you can't fault people for that.
